Christmas vanilla rolls are traditional Czech Christmas sweets and one of the most beloved ones. It is for a good reason they are the first of all the cookies to be gone. None of the cookies are as crumbly, delicious or cute.
The original recipe includes an egg yolk, however I found out it is more tender if you leave it out. Part of the walnuts can be replaced with almonds but I like to use walnuts only for this recipe.
Try to make the vanilla rolls the exact same size so they bake evenly. Also the smaller you make them the shorter you bake them 🙂
